"Yo dude, this scarf sucks". Me

Hey guys, this is what I said on our adventure today.  Wanna hear about it? yeah you do, here are the stories for the week!!

1. This does not feel good.....guys help....ahhhhhh
So we decided to go to the Nairobi National Museum. which includes a snake park. Now I don't like snakes never really been a fan.  But like most parks in Nairobi, there is an underground, where you can get to do cool stuff.  We heard rumors that you can carry a python if you want to.  So we got there and saw all the stuffs, like croc and fishes and lizards and snakes.  Then before we left, I started talking to this guy in kiswahili so the other foreigners couldn't understand me. Well he brought some dude named Rx.  He said, that if we want to carry a snake we can, but "it is cold outside so you gotta get a man some tea..." we were like, "we will buy you some cocoa cause we don't drink tea".  Then he literally just goes to the python cage and jumps in grabs the snake and then we got to hold it, it was super dope, but also pretty scary, it crawled around my neck and on my face, not very comfortable. But cool experience!

2 "just keep em coming, don't stop cooking'
So I am a HUGE fan a pizza. Love the stuff. I always have and always will.  I am picky but in Kenya there is only one Pizza Hut ( not the best pizza but it is really nice quality for a knm missionary). Well they had a deal that I give them 450 ksh, and I get to eat as much pizza as I want until two o'clock.  Needless to say (kevin- heart voice) THEY WASN'T READY!  I told them the quote above, and they didn't believe me.  we got there at 12:30 and me and my companions made them make seven pizzas. One dude ate like four, one five, one seven, the closest dude to me had nine.  That pizza tasted so good, I no joke ate twenty five pieces.  That wasn't my count, but it was Elder Covarrubius'.  The lady dishing the pizza after like the fifteenth piece was like, you are not big WHERE IS IT GOING!?  i just said, in my belly, "now can I request a bbq beef and pineapple next thank you"!  "It was amazing"!

"Elder, somethings you won't understand til you get to heaven"-me

This was my response to my comp after he came into me sitting upside down on the couch, playing my ukulele screaming random fruit names in Swahili. I don't know why either I just finished workout and felt like it. It was really fun though. might make it a regular thing.

1: When you try your best but don't succeed...
So I  have never been the best at making ugali.  I usually tend to screw it up.  Well for the first time this week I made a fetchin nice ugali.  And I made some really really good liver.  Man me and my comp were eating just super happy of how the meal had turned out, then I took a bite and thought  I saw an onion fall from the stew... so I was like nah man not losing an onion.....it wasn't an onion.  Turns out all of the maize meal in our house was full of fetching worms, so we had to toss my beautiful ugali and then were just praying that we hadn't eaten any of the other worms.  Words cannot describe how disappointed I was, I was so mad.  But hey can't have your ugali and eat it too.

2:ALL THESE BUILDINGS LOOK THE SAME TOO ME!!! AHHHH
My companion has only been in this area for six weeks longer than me, and was so busy he didn't get much time to explore, so when we were trying to find our way back from meeting with a new investigator, and we were both kinda got lost.  After walking literally in a circle, this is what I said! More kinda cried and yelled it at the same time.  then a really concerned lady directed us to the highway, it was really funny.  I was mostly joking but this lady was so concerned that my comp just died laughing.  Now she thinks we are both just nuts, which she isn't wrong...

Life for me now is just norm, having fun just keep it going. Just 21 more mondays, then I will be heading home.

Anywho have a great week, and too all the fathers out there, Happy fathers day!

Elder Tucker

Dad,

Happy Father's day! To be honest my three biggest role models are you, Lane and Grandpa. I think you have way more credit than you think in making me who I am. My companion said the other day "you must really love your father he is in all your teaching stories". He said "it jokingly but it is really true for me". Everything I do is to be like you on my mission. You sure did teach me alot through example.

Love you popsicle. Teron

NOT DEAD YET!

So sorry I didn't email last week.  I was on a bus for ten flipping hours, but I had my uke so it was chill.  Travels were just long, but it was fine.  and no still not dead. New Area Kitengela,in Nairobi. New comp. is Elder M. he is a cool dude. I like spending time with him.  He is from South Africa, where Jer is serving. Maybe I can learn Xhosa. But you don't really want to hear about travel plans, you just want to hear some STORIES!!

1:Alma 34:33 don't procrastinate
To spare you most of the details, I was not ready for this set of transfer news, like at all!  My companion had been in the area for a long time, and I thought for sure he was going, so did he.  My comp. decided to do all his laundry on Saturday, cause it takes a couple days for everything to dry thoroughly.  I thought that was fine.  Then the big man decided that he'd best teach a lesson in procrastination, and I got transferred. (Thanks Heavenly Father). I packed everything faster than I ever thought I could, left Monday morning, and got to  my new area wearing my last pair of clean clothes.  Only to arrive at my new flat to the wonderful phrase, "We have no water again"  so after getting water I had to wash everything... needless to say washing for two hours straight is never a fun job. and my hands  HURT. Respect those washing machines man, they are a true blessing.

2:  SCREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *thud* "oh she must've fainted"

So one of our own KNM warriors was coming home to Kitengela(my new area) this week.  So the branch had a party for him.  They needed some help clearing all the food, we knew a few people who could help with that. While me and my companion were destroying a whole chicken and like ten chapatis in the kitchen, the other party members were watching a scary movie in the front room.  There was another YSA there, that was just a funny dude, he kept scaring people.  Well at one point it was very suspenseful, and we just see this YSA, run from the kitchen into the front room screaming, then everyone was screaming, and all we hear is a big thud... then the quote.  Yeah dude literally scared the crap out of this young women that she fainted, she woke up a minute later PISSED!! but it was quite funny.  Everyone is a okay though.

One quote I got told this week I would like to share, was "you can judge a book by the cover, but don't think you know the whole story".  I just thought that was kinda powerful and I wanted to share it.

Love you guys!!
Elder Tucker

"Alma 34:33 And now as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end:for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed."

Thanks to Sister Msane who emailed Mom last week, so I wouldn't worry.
